I'm Seeing Major Changes! :)

So I went in for tray 20 today, which as I said before, with Invisalign Assist, they do a new scan every 10 trays to ensure things are moving correctly and to make changes if needed. Because of Easter, I will not be going back in for another 3 weeks to find out what the results are and to make changes if necessary. I'm nervous and scared and excited because of what happened at tray 10 when they did the first progress scan. Refer to this post for the last experience - Good News/Bad News

The nice thing is though, they take new pictures every 10 trays as well, so I can see a good comparison. I will update again in 3 weeks when I find out what changes are coming my way! :)

  1. What amazing progress, Christina :) The gap is almost completely gone! And look at how straight your arches are...WOW! You must be excited! How much longer do you have to go?

    2. I've been wearing my aligners for about 11 hours, and ouuuch! No attachments yet, either! It takes me back to my childhood days of braces. So far, I like it!

    3. I like the pain, makes me feel like progress is being made! The current aligners I'm on, I never felt any pressure, so I can't wait to change in a couple of weeks! :)

    4. I agree! :) It's better each day. I find that there are two areas that hurt the worst.. must be what this aligner is working on. :) How much longer do you have left? I bet you're excited. :)

    5. My initial set of treatment should be done in August. I'm will be switching to tray 23/30 tomorrow. The last three (I think?) sets are overcorrection sets, and those sometimes get skipped if you get refinements done. I have one tooth that I'm concerned that isn't moving right, so we'll see over the next few trays if it "straightens up" or not (pun intended)! LOL I did ask last time I was in if there was less chance of needing refinements when they use the Invisalign Assist, and she said there is less chance, so we'll see!
      And yes! I'm super excited!
Also... I had one bottom tooth that was kind of sideways and then the obvious gap in the front teeth. I have always noticed more pressure on these two areas and a tenderness on these teeth for a couple of days with each new tray.
The other thing that was recently pointed out to me on bracesreview.com is that I've had some sensitivity mainly on my front two teeth. Someone on there said that the teeth with the most movement will be more sensitive. Makes sense! :) This should go away after treatment is over, and I haven't noticed it as much anymore since I think there is less movement overall now.

    6. Oh nice!! Then you go on for another treatment? It's so awesome what technology can do. :)

That does make sense... I am finding that the pressure has eased up for the most part. It will be 2 weeks on Friday. I also get the attachments put on Friday. I'll still wear this set for another two weeks with attachments though, after that, I change every two weeks.

Do you ever feel like you chew on the aligners, or clench your teeth more when you wear them? I do. :/

    7. I don't know that I will have to go on for a refinement or not. It just depends what happens between now and tray 30.

Funny you should ask if I clench my teeth or chew. I know I do it a lot, but supposedly it will help seat the aligners better. I've never done it intentionally, but I found that out after I realized I was doing it. Anyway, today has been horrible! I've given myself a headache from clenching too much today! :( That's never happened before! LOL I will check out your blog! :)
